Description of sweet potato starch making machinery :
A vacuum drum filter press consists of a rotating drum operating within a sump containing the slurry pending filtration. As the drum rotates through the slurry, vacuum suction draws the liquid and suspended solids onto the drum’s pre-coated filter medium. The liquid fraction is pulled through the filter media by vacuum force, collected internally in the drum, and then expelled. The solid cake retained on the drum’s outer surface is transported to a scraping assembly, where it is scraped off together with a thin layer of the filter medium—exposing a fresh filtering surface for the subsequent filtration cycle as the drum continues to rotate.

Working principle:
This starch dewatering machine utilizes the suction force of a vacuum pump to create negative pressure inside the drum, making starch adhere to the drum’s filter cloth. As the drum rotates continuously at low speed, a starch layer of a certain thickness forms on the filter cloth. Water is sucked away by the vacuum pump, and the starch is automatically scraped off by a scraper—achieving efficient starch dehydration.
